Cape Fearby ~Basil-Ovelby

My entry for the

contest.
Holy cats it took me a while.

And the worst thing is that each of those little "screenshots" took me 2-3 hours to do, because they were fully-fledged, big colored pictures! Now they are very tiny, lol.

But anyway, I had a whole lot of fun drawing it. I chose Cape Fear because... well, I'd just watched the movie a little while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I know that there's already an episode based on Cape Fear, but I chose scenes and such which weren't included in that episode to mix it up, plus I think I made it a lot darker and menacing, more like the actual movie.

I chose to do it in the actual Simpsons style to challenge myself, since I've barely done anything in the actual style before.

One of my favorite Sideshow Bob themed episodes. Everytime I hear that theme, my heart races. (chuckles) Fantastic work !

Me too!! I LOVE the music too especially, ahaha. What cracks me up is that it's basically a slightly redone version of the actual Cape Fear music, and that it's now become Sideshow Bob's theme throughout the rest of the series as well. So there's now this Cape Fear homage that lives on in every Sideshow Bob episode, lol.
